Course Description
The Basic Tribal Probation Academy gives students the opportunity to complete 120 hours of combined classroom training and practicum experience. The academy is structured as a three-week program, delivered over three months with one week of training each month. Participants gain knowledge in 45 key topics. The topics include how to: - Assist with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons cases - Recognize signs of elder and child abuse, - Supervise individuals with mental illness - Write clear and effective reports - Explore alternatives to incarceration
